HOW IT WORKS
The Drainmaster is towed behind a tractor and mills 2 or 3 parallel trenches perpendicular to the existing drainage system. Each trench is 4 cm wide and up to 23 cm deep. As the trenches are milled, the material is discharged via conveyor and collected in a trailer for reuse. Simultaneously, the machine refills the trenches with drain sand from its onboard bunker. The rear wheels then compact the sand, ensuring a stable fill. Within weeks, grass regrows over the sand lines, creating a healthier, more resilient turf surface.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Originally developed in 1985 and refined through decades of contractor feedback, the Drainmaster offers unmatched efficiency and precision. Its well-calibrated sand bunker is designed to cover an entire pitch in one lengthwise pass or two widthwise passes, saving time and effort. Unlike costly full renovations, this machine gives field managers a sustainable way to increase playing capacity, reduce waterlogging, and extend turf life. For optimal results, it pairs perfectly with the GKB Combinator to ensure a smooth, level playing surface after drainage improvement.
